Hi Sally. There are a wide range of editing services you can try online, both big-name companies like Scribendi (I work for them and they are excellent) to independent editors. A quick Google search for "academic editing" will bring up a lot of options. My strong advice would be to search for an editor with experience of editing in your field AND a specialism in ESL editing. Editors who lack this specialism may be able to offer valuable advice on your content but may be less adept at preserving your unique voice during language editing... I am an academic (published and I am also on the editorial board for a journal in my field) but also a freelance editor and ESL is one the services I specialize in. I am not an editor by profession but I have written - in English - hundreds of small, medium and large reports pertaining to the Social Development Sector during my career spanning 35+ years. I am at least qualified to read your transcript seriously and offer some humble comments, just in case you haven't already got a professional looking at your script that is.
I will be able to assist you but not immediately - in early August? Would that be ok with you, to wait that long??? I've spent a lot of time in INDIA in the south and elsewhere (in universities) so will help if I can, but it will need to happen in AUGUST, perhaps the second week. Send it to me anyway.
