I am facing problem while writing the journal file in Fluent using TUI commands. I could not extract result ( temperature distribution along the center line, velocity distribution along the centerline ), from the CFD post processing using fluent journal file.
I have not used the journal files of Fluent but how I can imagine the answer is that you should place a sample by line along the centerline and write the results in a txt files, which you can later open with MATLAB and postprocess.

Well, I am not sure but first you always start with the error. What does it say?
Then try to do it line by line in the terminal of Fluent and see if you get the error and where and why.
