Do you mean how to teach iliterate adults in local languages? It is to say, how to teach minority languages in a multilingual context?

... or do you mean  how to recuperate local language when some communities are losing it? ... When young generations are changing local language for foreign language substitution habbits?...

Thanks for the response. I am interested in doing research about restoring local language literacy skills especially writing for Indonesian people. As I understand there are many local languages in Indonesia but they exist only as spoken languages  and usually people use Indonesian (the national language) for writing and reading. Although these local languages especially Javanese, Madurese, Sundanese, and Balinese have their own 'writing scripts',  most of their younger generation do not know how to use them. I plan to approach the issue from literacy cross-linguistic transfer.
