I am conducting a socioeconomic analysis of the impact of an exogenous shock using the Difference-in-difference method. Due to lack of data, there is only data for one pre-and one post-treatment of the shock. I want to check whether the parallel trend assumption is being followed. But I cannot find any method which will be useful to test the assumption when we have only two time periods.

I will be highly obliged for any advice in this regard.
