High grade glioma are known to be associated with virus, especially CMV.  There is positive data from the Karolinska group that valganciclovir added to standard therapy improves prognosis dramatically.  There is evidence from the Cleveland Clinic group that HIV protease inhibitors can have beneficial activity and they looked at treatment failures, obviously a difficult group to treat.  If I were to design a pilot study for treatment failures, I would use valganciclovir plus darunavir.
