We are looking to separate humic and fulvic acids from compost. We were going to use DAX-8 resin, however it is discontinued. In some papers I have found that they use XAD-7, XAD-1180... but I don't know which one is the most suitable for these cases. I would appreciate your answers. Thank you!
The old method is simply precipitation by acidification. This should at least give a primary separation
If you want both Humic and Fulvic acids first you have to dissolve in basic solution, both humic and fulvic will dissolve and than acidify to precipitate the humic acid
Hi.. I am also searching for the same. Did you get the answer? Actually, one of the paper of Malcolm, 1992 they have used both XAD 8 and XAD 4 resin in sequence. Please let me know if you have got any clue about this.
