I found injection of steroid in early onset tinnitus as helpful to some patients

The response depends on the etiologgy of the tinnitus sir..

I found it to be useful for post traumatic/ idiopathic?! tinnitus ( tinnitus in which no cause could be found with clinical examination , neurophysiological tests and imaging )

In my practice, in patients with normal hearing, I use intra-tympanic steroids for early onset low frequency tinnitus ( may be subset of atypical Meniere's) and use gabapentin for high frequency tinnitus.

Thanx, do you repeat the injection if there was no response in initial injection, if yes when and how many times?

my experience with intratympanic steroid for tinnitus showed a not response in a lot of patients. The only good results were obtained in those patients with a endolymphatic hydrops determining tinnitus.
