As it is known to every scientist he field of statistics is the science of learning from data. Statistical knowledge helps you use the proper methods to collect the data, employ the correct analyses, and effectively present the results. In this regard hyper geometric series plays an important role.
Is there any researcher working on statistics using multi variable hyper-geometric series? Or recommending papers in this subject?
The hypergeometric distribution is used when you want to determine the probability of obtaining a certain number of successes without replacement from a specific sample size. It is used instead of the binomial distribution when populations are so small that the outcome of a trial has a large effect on the probability that the next outcome is an event or non-event. So yes, I would use hypergeometric instead of binomial for modeling count data, survival probability, occurrence probability, and capture probability when the population size is low :)
