Men and women may have different approaches to evaluating and assessing data, and conceptualizing their findings. Has there ever been research on gender difference in academics?
Thank you Joachim.I also meant the difference between the focus of scholars working on the same field. One of my professors said that female scholars are more focused on 'field work' males rather on theories and conceptualising. When we look at the journal articles, for example, are male scholars dominating the fields? If professors of different genders run the same study in any area, would the findings and conclusions be the same ?Are men better theoriticians ?
Of course there are differences. but this is not the difference of sex, all women or all men. this differentiation is the person, not the gender.
Therefore, we must accept that they are accurate and true and some academic women are hardworking and a simple employee of University Women. The men, too.
With this, it seems that academic men in the world, ahead of University Women. men are more likely than women in the world of patents and innovation awards.
Well, I always thought that there might be neuro-scientific differences in how men and women brains approach issues as well as "kind of" academic discrimination in giving chances to women. Since I am far away from being a hard core academic, I cannot have an input based on my experience. However, according to what I read and observe, I am seeing men being more effective in creating theories and challenging scientific facts.
