absolutly there is an inverse relationship. The more developement, de mora damage to the environment.
Contrary to other species where there intervention is generally in harmony between survival and environment, occidental development of mankind affects in an destructive manner.
The intro mission in the wolf wild life is a sample of the natural balance, creating a damage when intervene. Cities are definitely an ill environment for people and nature.

Many studies have considered the societal environment to be an influential factor in the development process, and although there is a stereotype linking sustainability and success in development to prosperous societies, experience has proven the success and continuity of development in many poor societies in Africa, Asia, and South America. Most of these activities have mostly been initiated from the community itself by community activists.
Amartya Sen also pointed out in his book (Development as Freedom) the relationship between freedom and development, where he says that societies in which an oppressive culture prevails and lacks political freedoms and basic human rights fail to achieve sustainable development in the long term, they may succeed in material development, but they neglect the human being. This makes its development fragile and contentless. Sen links the political environment of society with its ability to achieve real and sustainable development.
