it is not necessary to include recent and extinct taxa, but to see what are valid diagnostic characters of the each subfamily.

Devriese published a key to determine most Tetrigidae species of Europe. Even for non native speaking Dutch people, this is very comprehensible due to the many figures.

This is the reference: Devriese, H. 1989. Determinatie van Tetrigidae. Nieuwsbrief Saltabel 2: 30-35.

I know about that paper and am familiar with his work, I am working on some problems with Hendrik. I Europe there is only Tetriginae subfamily present so European papers and keys are not so helpful.

We made a key to subfamilies and genera but only include Neotropical taxa, that key was include into the Book " Introduction to Grasshoppers from Colombia (Acridiomorpha, Tetrigoidea and Tridactyloydea). We found some problems and some genera was transferred from a subfamily to other. The book will be published the next month.
