I have extracted plant hormones from Cyanobacteria pure culture, using solvent extraction, partioning and then paper chromatography,eluting the Rf values of ABA and cytokinis,and then spectrometer determination at 254nm for ABA and 265 nm for cytokinis.so , you could isolate your bacteria,grow them in Petri-dishes and then transfer into test tubes containing broth for 1-2 days, then centrifuge , and take 10 ml of the upper phase and do the solvent extraction, partitioning, and then determination.
