Hi. I am trying to create a 3D model of sand particles non-destructively.
I've already acquired a set of 2D CT images from different angles, as shown in figure 1 of the following article. Some articles say that Fiji is an excellent software for handling CT-scanned images, and I could find several tutorials to analyze image sets stacked along an axis. However, I am struggling with finding the method to reconstruct a 3D voxel model from them. I would appreciate it if you could tell me any suitable plugins or softwares to process them.

I suggest you give our free software ProSurgical3D a try. It can load 3D data and provides a variety of 3D visualization and other tools for working with the data. Link is here:

You may need to do a pre-processing step on your micro-CT data to turn it into a manageable 3D volume. Our Checkpoint software helps you load each micro-CT 2D slice image, reduces the resolution by down sampling, and creates a 3D volume and outputs an easier to work with file which can be loaded into other tools, like Checkpoint itself, ProSurgical3D, and others.
