Only one surface of the bone can be touched. I want to know the distance of the opposite surface, in a contact manner, not CT or X-ray.
Ultrasound has been proved not available (on a centimeter scale, i.e. 5-10 cm depth)

Do you think measurement of thickness of bone on 3D image of CT scan is not valid??

Try a stand off pad using it on the one surface and then use your high frequency ultrasound probe and you should be able to get a measurement of both surfaces
