Is there any method or theory, can help identify the management drawbacks in organizational level by observing daily behavior of people in that organizaiton?
Enthnography should help. It all depends on the informal relationship and trust that you can build with the respondents. Else, whenever you are there to observe policy would be followed. If the objective of the research is to improve the system by seeking feedback from the trenches, then you need to make it transparent. If it is to report back to the management on the levels of compliance, it would be a challenge.
I believe starting by examining day-to-day activities and also a survey -based tool to systematically assess the organization's strengths and weaknesses.
It is good to use the case study method, which combines qualitative and quantitative research. You can view RK's publications on the nature of the process.
Using my paradigm of the Ideal State Of Being (ISOB) all members of a uniquely organised and/or devolved team must adhere to a business, management, regional, ethnic or national culture. And this "culture" must be agreed to at signup, despite other cultures or rules being agreed by another autonomous groups.
This culture is easily policed by members of the unique organisation itself, and small tweaks in behaviour can be achieved simply, or even through casual discussion. Behavioural and so relationship analysis may be requested by any member of the team, if one or more members appear to be acting outside of the agreed culture.
It's very interesting interesting to discover that Frederic Laloux has a very similar idea to me in the reorganisation, or should I say the reinvention of human culture. Mine is more to do with the reinvention of the political administration of a nation to restore genuine democracy using 21st century technology.
