The end of Cold War brought significant changes to international relations. Among others, it has changed the pattern of security paradigm, in which national security has been indispensably linked to international and human security. There is a transformation from traditional approaches which focus on military dimensions of conflict to a multi-faceted model which calls for a greater level of coherence between different dimensions and actors. Within this new paradigm, multi-dimensional approach to conflicts emerges. It emphasizes the importance of cooperation between military and civil society that foster the inclusion of civil dimensions to conflict studies. As this approach to civil-military cooperation involves an appreciation to tackle the grassroots situation of conflict, in the last two decades, it has substantially increased and is now recognized as a central activity in conflict transformation. Therefore, I am interested in exploring the role of civil-military cooperation in conflict transformation effort. and is desperately in need of literature on it. any help would be highly appreciated!
