Dr. Debra has given a good answer. However, I suggest that you set up your questionnaire because the topic " measuring organizational commitment in faculties" is essentially similar to " measuring organizational commitment in businesses or industries".
I do not think that the higher educational institutions are special or exceptional . In fact, they will reflect the "good" & the "evil" of the society to a large extent. The days, in which Cambridge or Oxford were historically isolated castles, have gone.
I may sound strange when I say that there is no authentic organizational commitment as such but there is global genuine commitment to "the pocket" or to the personal selfish interests in this materialistic world of today.

You can study carefully the following scales and adopt some items: : a re-worded version of the OCQ; the Hall-Snizek (1 972) professionalism scales; and Blau's (1 988) professionalism scale.
