Hunchbacked gravity quay walls are a type of quay walls, which might be used in ports. In this type of quay wall, stability of walls against back fill pressure will be produced by the weight of wall. However as in the marine environments, the shear strength of sea bed is not high, the bearing capacity of foundations of walls, also will be matter a concern. By the way to increase the safety against soil pressure mainly in dynamic loading, the angle in the hunched back part could be different. So, the question is that, anyone knows manual, guideline or even any research which has been resulted to a specify a range for the dimension ( Height, width, angle of hunchbacked part) in such quay wall?
