I am currently enrolled in a course on quantum transport (https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/noc21_ph08/course). In a lecture, the instructor defined a parameter - phase relaxation length. It is the length over which an electron completely loses its phase information. Now, I am looking for some reading material or review articles to study charge relaxation length. Unfortunately, I haven't found such materials over the internet.
Please suggest to me such a reading material/ review article on the topic.

In quantum transport there are 3 regimes:
- Diffusive l > L.
The phase relaxation length is Lφ = sqrt (D 𝜏φ) where the diffusion constant is D = v l / d ( d is the dimension, l - mean free path and v - velocity, the kinetic parameters). 𝜏φ is the collision electron time.
φ - phase-dependent L, means that Quantum Mechanics is taken into account and there are interference QM phenomena describing the transport coefficients.
The physical processes responsible for phase relaxation are the ones that break time-reversal symmetry. The QM scattering potential should be spin-dependent.
