In relationship with the question about hydraulic fracking and earthquake occurrence, I think is worth to imagine that tidal forces (the gravitational pull from both the moon and sun) could have much more energy to trigger an earthquake. Trigging earthquake and not causing it: I mean that already the stress is at a maximum and very close to the breaking. In this situation I think that tidal forces could give the small amount of stress to imitate the earthquake. Did anybody have studied occurrence timing of earthquakes with relationship to maximum tidal effect?

There is a definite relationship between the Sun, Earth, and Moon, their relative distances, and alignments, and the Vector Forces that produce both
tides and earthquakes. Vectors have both magnitude and direction, and they
are vectorially additive or subtractive, thus changing the magnitude of the applied forces that act upon the Earth and its components like water, and rock.
Various New moons and Full Moons amplify the forces.
Look up the various tides like neap tides and Spring tides.

There is a link between tides and part of earthquakes. actually, some Chinese scientists has applied the precusor related to the earth tides to the prediction of earthquakes, please refer to the paper in the attacthment.
The direct link between earthquakes and tides is proven. Statistical evidences using only one tidal parameter lead mostly to negative results. Reason is in complicated tidal action given by different kind of astronomical parameters which mutually increase the tidal effect but sometimes subtract it. For example the strongest earthquake in Nepal M 8 1934 was triggered by extremely high Moon and Sun declination On the other hand the second strongest earthquake in Nepal April 26 2015 was triggered in Moon’s stand still in lowest Moon’s declination in 18.6 nodal period. The earthquake 2015 was triggered by resonance effect of 5 repetitions of Earth’s rotation increments in 27.6 days sidereal period. Repetitions in Metonic 19 years cycle are evident in Sumatra and also In California with 19 years multiples. Also strongest earthquakes in Alaska 1964 and 2002 show 2 x 19 years difference.
