Hi Friends thank you for your input but my question is the focused on the subcontinent alone. I know other places had glazed pottery but did it exist in the subcontinent before the arrival of the Muslims in 8th century? Please help me reach a conclusion on this issue which has been pending for some time!
Thank you for your interest. by subcontinent I meant the Indian subcontinent (present day India, Pakistan and Bangladesh). You are right of the date 711, it was the same time when the Muslim Empire was expanding in the east and in the west under Musa bin Nusayir and Hujjaj bin Yousuf a-Thaqafi as governors of the western and eastern provinces respectively. It was my mistake for overlooking the clarity in my question but thank you for update and showing me my ambiguity in my question. Look forward to more interaction with you. Thanks
Thanks for you interest but how do you mean that my question and text do not agree with each other? I believe my question and text is the same, the question is conveyed to the reader through the text, so how can there be any disagreement between the two. As for the pictures with my question, they are given in support of the question. I would appreciate your input in terms of the existence of glazed pottery in the Indian subcontinent painted or without painting. I look forward to your help. thanks
