I am working in legumes, finding out their pollination sucess-rate within a day and within different seasons of year. Papers related with the topic would be great.
As far as I know light can have an indirect effect in pollination by affecting pollinators (bees and other insects) therefore, self-pollinating legumes (soybeans - peas - peanuts...) shouldn't be affected by this factor.
However, pollination in non self-pollinating or self-sterile legumes depend mainly on bees which means light will be (indirectly) an important factor. In fact, any thing that affects bees can have an indirect effect here.
So again it depends on the specie of study.
I really have no other thoughts about other effects of light.
