Is there an official procedure for revoking an article from the editorial office?

Six months ago I sent an article to a journal. The article was assigned a number. Since then, the editorial staff does not write to me, the article is not visible on the site. The automat responds to my letters: "Thank you for the message." The editor did not reply to the letter at all. Does anyone know how, in that case, I can withdraw my article from the editorial office, for sending it to another journal?
