I am open to collaborate with developers of sound-based neuromodulation techniques. I am still in the process of developing my project. My vision is to connect science to music to develop music as medicine. I am looking at the possibility of achieving this by creating a website where you could connect with the composer and musicians which resonate the most to your field of research and music can be tailored to what you need.

Would you know any others who would be interested?

I am gathering data on the demands for classical musicians in the field of music as medicine. It would be great to build a user demographic.

As a classical singer myself I would love the opportunity to take part in research of music and neurology.

That said, I think it’s important to clarify a couple of things about the sound-based neuromodulation (DBSS) technique I’m developing. While DBSS does indeed use sound frequencies, the focus is not on classical music but rather on precisely tailored sound frequencies designed to modulate specific brain regions for therapeutic effects. This is different from integrating classical music directly into neuromodulation.

Given that you’re already looking to connect with neuroscientists and labs, I think there may be an opportunity to expand the scope of your project to include neuromodulation techniques like DBSS, if you’re interested in exploring sound-based therapies beyond traditional music. However, it would require collaboration with specific neuroscience labs and the development of a separate research focus—one that involves sound frequency modulation for targeted brain regions rather than classical music compositions.

If you’re open to exploring this direction, you could think about integrating DBSS into your project as a distinct technique, but it would still require neuroscientists and research labs to test its efficacy in more controlled settings (e.g., fMRI/EEG studies). You’d also need to connect with funding sources to support the research.

I would be interested to see if composers could recreate the modulations necessary for your research but they are in the context of an emotive and emotional song. The music would be tailored to what you need but make it more interesting for the listener. Let me know what you think. This has been explored by composer Tod Machover and I would suggest the work of Adam Gazzaley. I am wondering what it would mean for research to push the soundscape that is used in scientific research about music and the brain out of the techno, mechanical recorded music towards the live immersive emotive experience for the listener.

I have been working on the risk factors of lung funktion decline in musicion playing instrumenta like trumpet etc If you have any interesnt in this kind of health impact?

I love this work that you are doing and continuing. I work with Crystal Sound bowls, and healing sounds of Chinese Medicine, which I find invaluable in my practice and qigong teachings. We are all vibration and frequency, and the addition of sound for healing is and "instrumental" healing modality.

I am working in epilepsy and have interest on music therapy for epilepsy. I am from northeastern part of India and i believe that the local folk music will help.
