The patient has undergone surgery but the cancer re-surfaced in 2 years, she was given chemotherapy and radiotherapy and she was alright for 1 year but the cancer has come back again and this time it is spreading faster than expected.
The doctors have ruled out surgery since it will cause serious lifestyle issues in day to day activities like eating.
The body is not capable in accepting radiotherapy since she is weak as she is unable to eat.
She is undergoing chemotherapy sessions but the PET test shows no improvement. The size of the tumor has remained constant.
Please advise as it is a grave situation with no solution available as of now.

The main problem with oral squamous cell carcinoma and HNSCC is not metastasis but local invasiveness. We had a few adequate results in the palliative setting with curcumin applied locally on the tumor with a swabb. We used a mixture of aloe vera cream with curcumin. The result is a decrease in pain and a slower growth. We complemented this treatment with measures aimed to decrease migration and invasion with celecoxib, ameloride plus high dose of proton pump inhibitors like lansoprazol or pantoprazol. Doxycycline resulted in a synergistic drug in this protocol.

Cancer cells depends on inflammatory mediators to grow/spread. Anything (local and systemic) that reduces inflammation is going to be very effective.
In the mean time, I would stop anything that cause unnecessary inflammation/damage to the body (chemo, radiation, any other unnecessary medications, alcohol...), and eat only healthy organic food with lots of fluids that would strenghten her immune system.

We tried stopping chemo and radiation for some time but the pet test showed that the cancer has started to grow very fast and has come to her jawline and spreading downwards so we had no option but to start the chemo again since her body is not coping up with radiations.
The problem is her jaw has become rock hard and she is unable to eat and is only taking liquid diet which is not helping as the immunity has gone low.
I am looking at something like a PDT (photo dynamic therapy) or any alternate medicine that can work.

we are working with a lab here to look for newer drugs testing,but this needs fresh biopsy to test
Thanks Dr. Govind. My uncle had called you the last time we had discussed and as suggested, we will plan to bring her to your institute for physical examination. We will not go for biopsy since she is already in a lot of pain and we don't want anything to aggravate the pain as of now.
Ankit, I'am very sorry to hear the severity of it... considering the stage and aggressiveness, systemic steroids may significantly and immediately slow the process.

The situation is grave to say the least but we are trying to find the best possible solution. She is being given a 6 dose treatment to improve body immunity using an antibody developed using her own blood sample.
I will talk to the doctor regarding the systemic steroids and if it can be given with her current medicines?
Sorry but I na unaware that anything might help in this phase of the disease. Thanks Mine for notion upon steroids.
