I know that there are different Occupational Prestige measures (NORC, SIOPS, ISEI, ...). However, I cannot finde a database that provides me with information about occupational prestige on multiple countries so that I can compare job rankings across these countries.
In particular, I need data that is not too old and that includes "business owner", "entrepreneur" or an equivalent as an occupation.

yes, I did. And I found that the OECD assesses skills: http://www.oecd.org/skills/ESonline-assessment/skillsassessed/
In their graphic they indicate that they also (optionally) assess career interests. However, I find neither - a more specific explanation of what they have assessed nor the data.
It won't help with other occupations, but the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) project includes an item measuring whether successful entrepreneurs are viewed as high status. I think it covers around 70 countries, and ratings have been collected over past years. http://www.gemconsortium.org/
Hello Jeffrey, I am already working with the GEM data and I know that there is this item measuring the status of successful entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, there is no reference to other occupations, so any evaluation of that entrepreneurial status does not allow me to actually say if entrepreneurship is, compared to other jobs, a favourable occupation.
