Hello! I am working on supercapacitors, I dont have Common Ionic liquids for use as electrolyte. Though I found that our repository has 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride. Is there any way by which we can transform this salt into room temperature Ionic liquid?

Usually this kind of transformation can be done by exchanging the anion with other anions. You may read these articles for more information.

One classical ionic liquid can be formed by mixing EMIC with AlCl3, anhydrous. Just by mixing the two white powders, one can form a light, emerald green liquid. The proportions should be 1 mol AlCl3/1 mol EMIC or greater.

For supercap applications actually the BF4 salt is not that bad, but indeed it has to be kept dry. I would also try the Tricyanomethide or bistriflic amide, they have good viscosity and acceptable conductivities, combined with high electrochemical stability, which is the main feature you want in a supercap, since both power and energy are directly proportional to the values of the ECW squared.
Addition of AlCl3 is definitely a way. Aluminium(III) chloride can be also substitued by ZnCl2 as well.
I am not convinced, that the Alcl4 is the best solution, it is extremely water sensible, much more than the BF4, and above a certain voltage you will start depositing Al.
