Is there a standard psychological instrument to measure the post-experimental state of reverence/awe? I do see some predispositional scales with awe subscales. However, I really need a valid instrument that measures the temporary affective state of reverence, awe, or pride, rather than a preference for that state. My goal is to compare experimental conditions to see if there are more frequent (or more likely) occurrences of reverence for human acts/wonders than for natural ones. I am hypothesizing that "pride" (the large self/group) will be associated with human acts/wonders, and humility (the small self*) will be associated with natural wonders.Thank you!
