I am interesting in running a longitudinal linear regression and am wondering if there is anyone that has experience in this technique, and namely, if anyone can direct me to statistical packages that are available for this technique?

In R language there is the open-source package "lme4", that allows you fit linear mixed models for longitudinal datasets. You can easily find on the web tutorials about how to do it for longitudinal datasets. For instance:

I get it in a quick google, there are a lot others out there. You also may pay for asreml software, or its R package "asremlR". This package would offer you more flexibility for modeling residual autocorrelation over time, or the correlation over time of the main model effects.
For longitudinal linear regression analysis with Bayesian models, I would recommend you the R open-source package "rstan". You can easily find on the web several examples too.

R is, of course, free, and while there is a steep learning curve, it's really powerful. I recommend that you install RStudio as well as R, which makes R a lot easier to use. If you don't use R, then I also recommend the introductory course on Datacamp.
