In general there is a relationship between the performance of the supply chain and the organizational performance. However, I wonder if there are any empirical studies that show the inverse relationship. I have found a study that relates green manufacture with green supply chain. Can this be generalized to other supply chains? Sorry if I naive.

I agree with Naji; it is sector specific. There are businesses where the greatest organizational performance has no impact on the supply chain. To a great, it can be true that companies are high performers apply a holistic approach and almost sure they focus on establishing a low-risk high-performance supply chain. Also, it 's hard to imagine a correlation that a poor organizational performance results in an excellent supply chain performance.
If you narrow your research to focus on 'green' or any other particular area, the original statement can be more accurate.

it depends on the nature of the organization. in supply chain organization, organizations performance has impact in supply chain performance and vice versa. performance criteria can categorised onto quantitative and qualitative performance which each of the must be evaluated separately.
