I am not sure whether omega squared (the measure of effect size, and a less biased alternative to the Eta Squared) is somehow related with McDonald's omega coefficient (the measure of internal consistency and the alternative for Cronbach's Alpha Test) since they both use the same variable omega. Though, I did notice that McDonald's Omega has a different way of solving as opposed to simply taking the square root of the omega squared based on the literature I could find and access.

But if they are not related whatsoever, what does the square root of omega square (or just omega) mean? Is it the less biased version of the Eta Coefficient Test?
