Is there a formula for evaluating or measuring accuracy (precision) in the cloud (for trust)?
What are the important parameters?
You may want to distinguish several types of sources:
-humans
they may produce information, for instance text material. The level of confidence that this material is accurate, authoritative, or just a view from someone with no real base in facts, could be of interest. I recommend that you look at research work on how opinions are measured through observed modifications of some Wikipedia article. Imagine that there are two main groups in a country, and they disagree on a matter. Then you will see a pendulum movement in Wikipedia, with articles turning towards the direction chosen byy the first group, and next in the direction chosen by the second group. It's quite interesting and telling, about human behaviour, and opinions gathering support.
-nature observed with sensors and any system involving machines, with state parameters
Here again there may be differences, or bias, in measurements and corresponding estimates.
Let me illustrate the difficulty of estimates by a physical representation. Consider the wheel of a car, and the tyre of rubber. The tyre is roughly part of the external enveloppe of a torus. Its center of gravity is... outside of it. Push the center of gravity with all your strength and nothing will happen. A better way is to divide geometrically the shape into "pieces of cake" and for each the center of gravity of the piece is on the piece, and you can exert a force on it. Then if you have n pieces, you have a combination of n forces.
This very simple example show the limit of "taking the average", because the average may be outside, oops!
The basic idea used too often is you have all estimates xi, and you take their average, and you're closer to "truth": not always good.
