I would like to estimate the hydroxy fatty acid derivatives of AA and DHA of brain and rbc membrane samples. I have problem with standards so I would like to go with GC-MS technique where I could get the standard library I have gone through many articles but couldnt construct proper protocol to do my work kindly can anyone suggest me a detailed protocol for isolation, derivatization and estimation of hydroxy fatty acids (5, 12, 15, HETE) and lipoxygenase products of DHA using GC-MS , Thank you

sir one question during trans esterification step after addition of hexane do it require any centrifugation to separate the hexane phase or vortexing itself separate
