For me the difference in definition between chaos and turbulence is clear. However,

I see no major author, risking to give a clear definition of the difference between the two words.

Some qualify the difference by the number of degrees of freedom, the other equations calculate them, but both definitions have their problems as seen in a recent article of Kachanov (Hypothesis on deterministic turbulence in European Journal of Mechanics - B / Fluids volume 40, July-August 2013, Pages 30-33).

Does anyone know of a correct definition that shows where one begins and the other ends?
