Is the two site in HTDURS-1D (two site kinetic model/ attachment detachment pattern) independent?

I am using hydurs-1D to simulate colloid transport using Attachment-Detachment Model (Two Kinetic Sites Model), Here I have two sites with parameters SMAX1, KATT1 ,SMAX2, KATT2, where SMAX1, KATT1 represents Langmuirian dynamics (ispi1=1), and SMAX2, KATT2 represents ripening (ispi2=2). So are these two parameters independent? in other word, S_total =Samx1 +SMAX2, Katt_total= Katt1+Katt2?
