The idea is introducing student to the topic from a more general subject, and introduce the different structures of, say, Propositional Logic as a formal system, and from them deduce the Boolean Algebra (while introducing the interpretation of formulas), and further logical laws.

One of the objectives of the training processes has always been to prepare students to adapt to new and changing problem situations. Engineering students and, in this case, computer science students, are inclined towards complex issues and the optimal solution of physical-practical problems through a logical-abstract and systematic analysis and the integration of scientific facts linked to the development of information systems. In this direction, mathematical logic contributes to the development of students' logical-interpretative and abstraction capacity; and that will allow students to understand the problem, abstract, model and build. On the other hand, mathematical logic is closely related to computability theory, which presents the idea of computation in logical and arithmetic terms. Now, it is pertinent to start the study of mathematical logic by learning formal systems -for example, propositional logic, first order logic-; as long as it is a means through which it studies the inference by means of its construction.
