Examples of typical “quasiplastic” deformation diagrams for a glass material are shown in attached Fig. It should be noted they are the deformation diagrams of the glass without any additives as a matrix, a glue at the interfaces, etc. The glass is associated with brittleness by most people. I think that investigation of transformation mechanisms of a brittle material into the quasi-plastic ones without changing the chemical and phase composition is very important to overcome the brittleness of materials as a whole.
