I am working with mycobacterium abscessus for my thesis.
I have one question regarding its growth. Because I am always facing some problems with M.abscessus like sometimes the growth is very good in liquid media for example I am using Middlebrrok 7H9 broth with 10% OADC growth enrichment, and I am adding 106 cfu/mL bacterial suspension, sometimes i am having good bacterial growth (after 3-4 days growth upto 109 cfu/mL) and sometimes no growth.
I am facing the same problem since last 1 and half year (specially for time-killl studies). I have tried to prepare all the checkpoints and follow the same procedure, temperature controls every time. but sometimes the experiment works well and some times there are no growth in bacterial control tube.
If someone is having any solution for this, please help me.
