16S rDNA gene in bacteria is conserved in same genus of the family. I have identified a bacterium using 16S rDNA technique using universal forward and reverse primers. As genes also code for some proteins, is it possible that 16S rDNA gene sequence also codes for some proteins?
If this is true, please tell me how could we find that?

Unfortunately, you do not necessarily need a ribosome binding site. There are genes without a leader and thus a RBS, in Corynebacterium these make up 30% of all proteins. But I guess that is another story :-)
Well, there is an exception - some rRNA genes have protein-coding intervening sequences. But in that case I'd expect something longer than 1400 bp.
That is correct, I Should have been more precise. But these genes are not part of the 16S but rather part of the complete operon.
Matter of definition I guess - there are elements that are surrounded by 16S sequence and cotranscribed with it. But they're not part of the final ribosome (that I've ever heard of), so in that sense the rRNA gene doesn't code for protein. Although you never know...
There are several computer programs that you can use to translate DNA sequence into protein sequence (premier primer 5 is one of them). In theory, 16S rRNA gene should not encode any protein. You have to have ribosome binding site upstream of the gene to make it able to produce proteins. As far as I know, 16S rRNA gene does not have one.

The rDNA contains multiple regions of very high conservation (> 90 bp, 80-100%) with annotated proteins (at least 3 such regions per rDNA transcript in plants). Those may correspond to overlaps with annotated protein-coding genes, but at least the protein-coding potential is there. Whether such regions can be translated or not requires a dedicated study.
