I am interested in measuring peer rejection as a mediator between social competence and adolescents among adolescents. For this purpose, I have selected CRSQ but it seems that this measure is indirectly related to peer rejection. As researchers report, children and adolescents with high rejection sensitivity are likely to experience recurring peer rejection which makes them more rejection sensitive. It means that the level of rejection sensitivity is a reflection of recurring peer rejection. I need a feedback on whether CRSQ is useful to measure peer rejection?
