I want to know how the texture is related to the thermal gradients in the melt pool during the SLM process. Also, would a larger thermal gradient give you a better texture? What are the prominent factors affecting the texture development in the SLM process?

Thank you Amir Reza Ansari Dezfoli . Do you think increasing the hatch distance or minimising the melt pool-melt pool interaction in the same layer would lead to an increased texture in the build direction?
