I would not say that it can solve all the issues but at least it can help. One could e.g. summarize texts and combine texts from different sources to get the distillate out of this text collection.
One key is also to somehow make use of existing world knowledge combined with inference systems, as done by IBM's Watson.
Assuming your information need can be somehow modelled, this would allow to give you the information you need.
The flow of information is endless. The brain has infinite possibilities. But while life is fleeting. Consequently, the authors of scientific articles in the abstract must be concise, captivating and deliberately express the main ideas of the article. Editions of scientific journals need to take it a rule to a style of "advertising" in the summary text. In this case, the scientist selects the articles that are relevant for the job. The main thing in this case the scientist is free time for football or golf (which is important for health promotion).
It is acceptable that Text mining is a possible solution to it. But as per my believes it is not the only available solution. One can also try to implement semantic web in the area of research papers to ensure that the good quality papers always float at the top.
Let me clarify once again my point made above. We are sure that all of the articles that have been reviewed and accepted for publication, articles are high. I propose to present summary of the article in such a form that the scientist was clear the main idea of the article. Then the reader will quickly make any conclusion of a scientific journal article should be read first. Why did I put this question? Because many ornately decorated resume and confusing. It is difficult to understand from the summary of what actually did the authors. By the way, by analogy, it is difficult to understand the motives of a man who does not like this is my proposal.
It can prove to be very helpful but by current advances in text mining, it alone is not sufficient.
Yes, it is one of the first steps. Initially, we are looking for articles by keyword. Then view a summary. Then we begin to get acquainted with the text of the article. Then, the author of the article by e-mail or at conferences.

As the research papers contains a lot of technical jargons and jargons related to specific field only, an approach to summarise the text would require a basic knowledge of a lot of terms and hence a large dataset leading towards larger access times. So would it be possible to summarise the Research Papers due to their jargons?
Secondly, the research papers also contains a lot of image data as well which comprises of methodology, graphs, images which could not be text mined and hence the summary generated automatically might miss out on a very important characteristic.
So rather than creating summaries of the paper, If we use Some sort of XML schemas to generate a graphical representation having special notations for advantages, disadvantages, parameters, etc. Would not it be beneficial?
