Contains two basic concepts that needs to be clearly underlined: sustainability and rapidly increasing population growth. Secondly, the question did not qualify between the north and the south, as these two are not similar in most of the conditions: population growth and technological capacity. If we try to administer the question with in the context of the south where the technological capacity and population growth rate is very high we can not think of sustainability. As the population pressure is pushing and forcing the community to interact with nature unwisely and in unsustainable way. Therefore, if the developing world want to ensure sustainable food supply to their people, the solution is not simple and ready made. But, the solutions are among other things; controlling population growth rate, introducing environment and local community friendly technology, ensuring peace and democratization of the political system can bring a sustainable development.

In this regard, there should a global coalition among the developing, developed and international organizations such as FAO, WFP and other UN bodies.

Sustainable agriculture is possible if and only if government of developed and developing countries put more effort to support massive food product by setting aside land reserve specifically for agricultural activities, encourage used of fertilizers both organic and inorganic. Most importantly the use of high yielding crops and in this era of climate change there is need for early maturity crops and resistance to drought. The bottom line is that there is high need for high yielding species of crops.

The availability of land becomes one of the important things to get sustainable food security. Spatial planning, spatial structuring law enforcement, budget allocation, regulation of Sustainable Land Agriculture Farm Protection, incentives, and land optimization activities, land certificate of farmers and agricultural land data synchronization become part of sustainable food security strategy. Spatial arrangement and expansion of land or maintaining agricultural land if possible be a policy to make it happen. The prohibition of land conversion is part of a strategy to secure land availability where feasible. As an alternative, intensification with the application of technology is an alternative action to achieve sustainable food security and strategies to anticipate the rate of population growth.
