Maybe some "old" book can provide some help.

E.g.: Ranzi, S. 1933 Sparidae, Lobotidae in Uova, larve e stadi giovanili di Teleostei. Fauna Flora Golfo Napoli 38, 374–376.

Potentially useful also books by Tortonese:

TORTONESE E., 1970. Fauna d'Italia, vol. X. Osteichthyes, parte I. Calderini, Bologna.

TORTONESE E., 1975. Fauna d'Italia, vol. XI. Osteichthyes, parte II. Calderini, Bologna.

Unfortunately not so easy to be found and in italian.

I would suggest you to take contact with Laurence LE DIREACH in GIS Posidonie (http://mio.pytheas.univ-amu.fr/gisposidonie/). Several years ago she dealed with larval stages on coastal fishes and I think she could give you some interesting information about larval stages. Maybe she could send you some interesting papers.
