Hi Paul, depending on your specific focus, the literature on Environmental Policy Integration (EPI) may be of interest for you. Andrea Lenschow and Andy Jordan edited a book on this in 2010, which may provide an overview on this stream of research.

The 2001 Environmental Policy Integration book by Lenschow and Jordan is defenitely a good start. I haven't been able to find a 2010 book, only an article in Environmental Policy and Governance.

My focus is on how policy coalitions manage to use resources (symbolic and/or material) from different policy subsystems in order to advance their policy agendas in the long term.
