Like harvesting of dalo ,cassava, potato and other root crops may cause soil losses, but the magnitude of such losses has not been widely documented.
That's an interesting question. Needs an in-depth discussion , unfortunately this is underemphasized issue....
Soil is one of the most important and basic components of eco-system and life sustaining material. Its losses due to any reason and in any part of the world music be considered and discussed. For an island country, it is rather more important and its losses due to crop harvesting should be definitely discussed.

• SLCH is declined by 37% between 1987–99 and 2000–2016 due to sugar
beet decrease.
