Sanger sequencing can definitely be used for MRD. While NGS definitely is better, there are certain limitations. MRD is done based on the identified marker at diagnosis; immunophenotypic marker, cytogenetic and/or molecular marker. So depending on that, we can use the required and available technique for MRD.
