Regards, I'm simulating a domestic refrigeration in HYSYS, however, the expansion device is a capillary tube, is there a way to simulate a capillary tube instead of an expansion valve in HYSYS? I already have the capillary tube diameter and length.

I think it's hard, actually depending on the expected reliability of modelling .
The flow in the capillary tube is more complicated than in a TEV or EEV. However, you may try using the empirical formulae - Pai expression. Just remember the outlet flow state, unchoked, just choked, post choked. In addition, mestable flow is likely as well.
To check the mass flow rates through capillary tubes, you may use our cloud eTool, [CapS], available at www.refriglab.com. Please be reminded that [CapS] is for refrigeration capillary tube sizing so choose 0.0 for the scale of detached contacting with suction line pipe.
