I don't think : PLA is soluble in chlorinated solvents, hot benzene, tetrahydrofuran, and dioxane.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polylactic_acid).

I dont think it can be solved in ethanol , I used chloroform and is a good solvent for PLA

Best PLA solvents are dichloromethane, dimethylsulfoxide, tetrahydrofuran, Chloroform. Also acetone and toluene can solve PLA. However methanol and ethanol is most commonly used to precipiate the PLA not to solve.
