It is general saying that "Omega-3 fatty acids from sea fish" can increase good cholesterol HDL. Did anyone experience same in his own case...please share...
That is a question to which I would be glad yo hear specialist opinions as well. At least, as far as I know, you won't get any EPA or DHA (i.e. long chain omega 3) if you don't eat fish or shellfish. I'm not aware of any other source (except some algae species, but you would have to eat a lot of these). And I'm not sure that humans have high capabilities to synthesize those from shorter chains (i.e. C18 that you find in most edible plant oil). However, may be I'm wrong. If a specialist could step in? That is a very interesting topic for people who want to take care of their own health.
Very nice to hear you. Regarding plant source of Omega -3 fatty acid, some review works showed that flax seed /linseed is good source of it. Actually, i am also eagerly waiting for comment from experts.
